My travel memories

I went to Iceland Last Christmas holidays. Iceland was the second country I visited in Europe. I think that was very rare case for foreign students except for European. Well, why did I went there? That is the reason why I wanted to watch the northern lights. In my honest opinion, they are not good. Because at first I can' t understand where the northern lights were in the night sky, then when I was looking around to look for them, a travel agent said to me 'Have a look that fuzzy light. You are very lucky!! There are sometimes people who can't watch the northern lights' with pointing. I was so disappointed with them, because I noticed them, but I was thinking they were just clouds. I thought I was cheated by a leaflet. However, the others except for it are very good memories. For examples, I could see the sun for shorter than three hours in a day. I couldn't believe it was dark at 11a.m. and it was dark before 2p.m. again. Especially, the best memory is the spa called 'Blue Lagoon'. I always had a bath in Japan, so I can't be satisfied with just a shower. I could be relaxed there after a long separation. I am very glad to go to Iceland before the volcanic eruption.

I always think if I had chosen another way at that time. For example, if I had studied English harder when I was a student, I could speak English fluently. If I had sold some shares at that time, I could have earned more...etc. It seems as if they were endless. Fortunately, I have studied conditional forms which are suitable expressions to show my negative minds like regret or greed. =_=

Never again (writing homework 30/4/2010)

When I was a university student, I travelled from Los Angeles to Seattle by train. When I'd confirmed the timetable, it was supposed to take me 26 hours. But unbelievably it took me 42 hours!! So I was completely exhausted. I decided never to travel by train in America again.

My City "Matsudo" (writing homework p42 14a)

I'll write about my city 'Matsudo'.

There is nothing special in its history, because 150 years ago it is a dominion of this country's ruler. There are just some farm villages in it.

However it has been a big city recently and the population of it is about a half million now, because it is on the commuter belt of Tokyo.

There is nothing special about positive features, because it depends on Tokyo completely for all. There are many cities like this.

So there is nothing special about any difficulties or problems. But if I say them, it is just no feature.

As a result, there is no tourist attraction. But we don't need it, because we can go to even the Tokyo Disney Land within half an hour. It's enough only to sleep in my city.

It will merge with other same cities, then there will be a just big city without features.
